Shimonoseki, overlooking the strait between Honshu and Kyushu islands. Fog horn bleating. The air tastes of industry. The days are full: meals and conversation, sound and light checks, rehearsals (including entering and exiting the stage), tea, more meals, and meeting fascinating, kind people everywhere. Our hosts are lovely: quiet, gentle, generous, organized. Shows are good, audience response is rewarding. Bouquets from the festival yesterday: very sweet.
